Reconciliation Discussion:
A Conversation with Johnny Aitken

4:30 – 5:30pm Friday

Johnny Aitken will gently guide a fluid discussion on the topic of truth, reconciliation and healing. This will be an opportunity to discuss current topical issues in a safe environment, free of judgment. This discussion is free of charge, everyone is welcome, meet at the Hall.

To start the festival, Johnny and Lauren Mann will also share the song Medicine that they wrote together over the past five years, a process that began at Mosaic Fest in 2019.

Face Painting

2 – 6pm Saturday
10am – 12pm & 2 – 4pm Sunday

Both afternoons leading up to the evening performances Valentina and Sophia will be joining us for magical face painting at the Imagination Station. Whether you want to become an ice princess or have a star on your cheek, Valentina is sure to make an art piece with face paint and glitter.

We will have games in the field all day! Thank you Stephen Fairclough for making a giant Jenga set – it’s going to be SO MUCH FUN 🤩 We’ve also sourced tons of other games for everyone to enjoy, sign in/out is at the ticket table.

Art Play with Wendy

Come play, explore and be creative at the Ptarmigan Arts community creativity table at Mosaic Festival with Wendy Gardner! Find her at the Imagination Station.

Pender Island Conservancy Forest Walk & Scavenger Hunt

2 – 6pm Saturday & Sunday

Kids of all ages can pick up a scavenger hunt from the PICA table and explore the festival site looking for answers. Bring your completed sheet back for a prize! Guided nature walks will also be offered on Saturday. Sign up and meet at the PICA table.

Cemetery Tour with the Museum

2pm Sunday

Guided cemetery walk with Simone Marler of the Pender Islands Museum. Come along as we “meet” a few known and less-well-known people from Pender’s past. Sign up and meet at the Festival Entrance. Donations to the museum are gratefully accepted.
